Guides with a “verified” badge passed our identity and profile review. We do not guarantee specific government licences; only guides who meet our listing standards are shown publicly.
Qualifications and liability insurance are self-reported by guides. For important decisions, confirm details in messages or in writing where appropriate.
Under Japan’s Interpreter Guide Act (2018 reform), paid interpretation guiding for international visitors is not limited to licensed guides only—but if you are not a registered national or regional interpreter-guide, you must not use those titles or confusingly similar names (see MLIT guidance). Cancellation rules follow each guide’s stated policy and what you agree when booking. If payment status and refunds differ, follow your payment provider’s terms and any agreement between guide and traveler.
Reviews help other travelers. Fake or abusive content may be removed and can lead to account restrictions.
